Bike Me Out to The Ballgame!

Bicycle Tailgate Party at RFK Stadium

April 27, 2008

To be followed by a group ride down to Nationals Park to watch the home team take on the Chicago Cubs. The event celebrates the opening of a new section of the Anacostia Riverwalk and Trail near RFK Stadium, as well as the new bike valet at Nationals Park. WABA will provide the grills, and hotdogs, burgers and veggie options. Please bring drinks, chips/dips, and picnic-type sides to share with friends.

If you can help meet us at the office at 10:00am.

WABA has purchased a block of 100 tickets for the game against the Cubs. Tickets for the game cost $35 each for WABA members, $40 for non-members and are available on a first come-first serve basis through the WABA website. JOIN WABA and save! Purchase a ticket for the game and join WABA for only $25.

Event schedule:

10:00am: meet at WABA (1803 CT Ave NW)

11:30am: Tailgate party begins at RFK

1:00pm: group ride to Nationals Park

1:30pm: Game time!

Thanks to the efforts of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, the new baseball stadium for the Washington Nationals includes a free Valet Bike Parking service in addition to numerous bike parking racks located conveniently near stadium entrances. Details on the operation of the bike valet will be made available soon.
